The current conservative government in Australia. It is regressive, dictatorial, racist and lots of other things that I cannot find the adjectives for. Howard has us, as a nation, in reverse gear with the foot hard on the accelerator. He plays to the worst aspects of our nation's character for pure political gain (and because this is what I think he truly believes in) and to date has got away with it. One casualty in all of this (particularly the Tampa affair), has been our reputation and standing as a compassionate nation in the world community.
Cars. They foul the air and make cites unlivable. Although necessary to some extent, people use them far too much. Reliance on oil has and continues to cause so much death and destruction in the world. If you can, do everyone a favour and use yours as little as possible.
The administration of the United States of America for doing what they do to others and their own people. For example, the War on Drugs, self interested arrogant economic imperialism, sponsorship of terrorism, manipulation of world affairs so as to keep the market for military supplies buoyant.
The continued destruction of our Native forests.
Over-utilisation of the ocean's resources.
Smoking within 10 metres of me.
People that take wildlife for financial gain.
Duck shooters.
Anybody that campaigns against legalisation of Assisted Suicide.
People that deride illicit drug users.
I had better stop now before this gets out of hand. No wonder I haven't got any friends!!!!
